Burgers were totally adequate, but one friend's club was made with white instead of wheat as requested, and our friend who ordered the 'Chicken-fried steak stuffed spud' was pretty disappointed, especially since the chicken-fried steak was toted as their specialty. The service and food were slow. However the restrooms were not only spotless, but also equipped with fancy air-blade touchless hand dryers. Overall, meh.

Don't let the two star rating dissuade you from trying Maverick's Country Grill. Maverick's is conveniently located next to a Comfort Inn (where I happened to be staying), and is a great place to grab some food before settling in for the night. Our waitress was amazing. I don't think I've ever seen anyone move as quickly as she did, and she was super nice. She did forget to bring silverware, even after dropping off the salads. My two companions just sat there as we struggled to get her attention. She was busy running food to other tables, so she didn't notice us for a solid 10 minutes. They should really hire a food runner or two so the waitresses can focus on the guests. It did take a while to get the food. I ordered the Petite Sirloin, and was presented with the worst cut of meat I've ever been served. They definitely buy sub-prime cuts of meat. My loaded baked potato had generous toppings, but the potato was hard and wouldn't "mash." It left me wondering if it got left in the warming drawer overnight. Despite the low quality of the food, I left feeling satisfied.

Its got a nice country bumpkin feel and is run wth a high service level. I had the steak fajita on bun, it was really good. Came with a nice side salad too, tastefully presented on the same sandwhich plate in a chilled kidney shaped bowl that framed up the sadwhich perfectly.....yeah I shoulda took a pic.

Stopped here on our way out of Colorado back home. The food was really good. Their fried pickles were delish!! The staff friendly and helpful with choosing a meal. Only bad part was it took awhile, but it was worth it.

This is probably a 3.5 star place. The service was good and the food was affordable. The appetizers I tried were a little bit generic and not especially high quality but they were good because I was hungry. The waitress recommended the pot roast and it was a good choice. The restaurant was big and was pretty full. The iced tea was better once I squeezed a lemon in. My salad was ranch but had a hint of blue cheese for some reason, pretty average salad. All things considered I would say this place is like Denny's level food with great service and character. In Fort Morgan that makes it a pretty good option.

Not the best food I have ever eaten before, but it wasn't the worst by far! I had the chicken fried steak, with a salad and fries. I am not a huge fan of brown gravy, and that's what they served it with. The fries and salad were pretty good though. Service was average. I would go back, but definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go!

Maverick's was a real surprise. Ice cold draft beer and the best chicken fajitas (we got the order for two) we've ever had. Since we're from the San Diego area we're used to pretty good Mexican food, and weren't expecting much in the middle of Colorado. Surprise. This place is great.

The food was ok for the price - wine glasses were dirty even when they brought "clean glasses" service was friendly & French onion soup takes like soy sauce. This is one of the finer places in Ft Morgan...

The chicken bbq pizza was freshly baked & quite good! It's also walking distance (in the same parking lot) as the Comfort Inn I was staying at, so after a long day that's a BIG plus :)

It was fine. The fried pickles appetizer were heavy on the fried and light on the pickles, not so great. Country fried steak and mashed potatoes were good but nothing outstanding, and the salad was good. All in all a decent meal for this area, but similar to many chains that you can eat at almost anywhere.

Great location, convenient, burgers, steak, pizza. Had a bowl of French Onion soup and a Reuben Calzone. Odd enough, had to try it. Everything was exactly what I expected in quality and service. Facility was a little better than expected for being out in the weeds. Good stop.

So I'm staying at the hotel next to the restaurant. The first time eating there I dealt with a rude server but since being back a couple of times. I've been very impressed. The pizza is good and decent sized.

They have good food here. Unfortunately, they have terrible service. I stayed in the connected hotel for a few weeks. The first couple of weeks I ordered food to go about 6 plus times. Every time I went to pick up my order, the order was not ready for at least 10 more minutes than the estimated time (usually 20 minutes) that they gave me. Sometimes I had to wait for over 20 minutes for a salad. That's 40 minutes total for a salad. And almost every time, something was missing from the order - the bread, the salad dressing, part of the salad ingredients, ect.... I eventually just stopped ordering food from this place because the service was just so terrible. Like I said, good food. Terrible service.

Clean for a sports bar. Staff is very good. If you are looking for a decent place to have a bar meal and a couple drinks, this is your best bet. Pizzas are very big so grab a smaller size of you are splitting one.

I agree with Kenna B, the location is convenient and the service is good. My food was not slow to come out. I ordered the fish n chips with onion rings instead of chips. It was served in a cute miniature tin bucket and included a BIG cup of bland tasting tartar sauce. I expected some pieces of fish and some onion rings that were battered on site. I found the same factory-breaded too-crunchy batter on both the onion rings and the fish squares that had obviously been shaken out of a box right into the fryer recently. The result was still edible though! The guy in the booth next to mine found a rock in his salad - he said it looked like a piece of quartz. Luckily my salad was rock-free, just a few stale pieces of lettuce in there!

This restaurant is like having a girlfriend with bipolar disorder. She's hot, attentive and happy to see you at lunchtime. Then she's cold, ignores you and is down right mean at dinner that night. Seriously, the only thing they're consistent at is you never know what your experience will be like. Which is why at their best they only get a 3 star rating because they only average out at "A-OK". This goes for the take-out service too. Half the time they mess up what you order so you have to check the boxes at the register and most of the time your order will take twice as long as they said it would. It doesn't matter if they're busy or slow. If they tell you 30 minutes plan on an hour, even if it's just for a soup and salad. It's to bad, with the right people this could be the place to go in Ft. Morgan.

Look, don't expect a gourmet meal at a restaurant attached to a hotel in a town that smells like Glenn Miller's carcass (this is his hometown after all). But it's passable and the food is decent road fare. Burgers, wings, etc. Unfortunately our server was as dense as the stench in the air outside. I'm sure she's a sweet girl but she should be working at a counter not on a floor. However if you're staying next door and don't get our server, you're fine to eat here.

Food is mediocre at best. To get a beer on that place takes close to an act of congress. Service is ok. There is nothing to write home about when it comes to Mavericks. Don't get it wrong the food is NOT bad.... It's also not that good. It's Ehhhh.

I went to Maverick's with several co-workers for a meal tonight. Our service was not good. I understand it took a while to be seated because they were not prepared for us to have so many people with us. That wasn't a problem. However, it took 20 minutes before she took our drink orders, then another 20 minutes before our food order was taken. After she took our order, we still had to wait 30 minutes for our food and our appetizers came out with our food, instead of before. In the two hours we were there, the waitress only checked on our table when she brought our food. It took an extremely long time to get any refills for our table. The baked potatoes were hard and the cheese was burned onto them. The steaks were incredibly small for the big price we paid. We also did not receive our bread until after we were about to leave. A few of my table mates did not get their salads and soups until asking about them and a few of our sides were missing. The quality of the meal was decent, but our service was not good. The employees were rude. We were able to hear one of the employees complaining to the waitress about how unhappy they were with the fact that we showed up without notifying anybody. And after all the bad service, the employee told the waitress to add gratuity to our tickets while she was at our table waiting on us! Out of the 5 different tickets, she got a total gratuity of over $20 and I don't believe she deserved quite that much for the kind of service that was provided.
